Contests and Deer!
Here is the photo that made my weekend. Well at the very least will have started the weekend off right. I am standing in the driveway about 20 feet away maybe a little less and I just kept moving closer and closer until the buck made it clear I was close enough.
This photo I entered in a contest for portraits. I am not sure how the winner is picked but if it is by likes then my little girl needs some love. I entered the photo in a contest on a site called Youpic.com. To like a photo you have to join the site. It is free and the site is incredibly cool. If your into photography at all you will like this site. If you like my photo and would like to help it along today is the day. The contest ends March 1st. It is a cool site to post photos because they get copyrighted and can’t be stolen from the site, and the site is a fountain of inspiration. Practice Practice and more Practice
After a nightmarish ruff start to February my family and I have leveled out and are beginning to enjoy our month of birthdays. February is mine, my husband, and my Mom’s birthday. We celebrate all month long in little ways. Special trips, dinner out, flowers, and of course cake. For me my birthday treat is time out. Time to go out with my camera and just be free. I have to thank my husband for this precious gift of freedom.
Winter has set in and snow has finally fallen giving me a wonderful playground of sights to catch with my camera. I totally enjoyed my play days and I hope you enjoy them just as much. The trees out back always draw me to them. I just love the Christmas tree field. The tall skinny ruffled tree is a favorite for me. I always think of ” The Grinch Who Stole Christmas” to me it looks like a Whoville tree.
Walking in my neighborhood is always such a pleasure there is always something new to see.
The bird feeder out my back door has been extremely busy this past week. I have spent many happy hours watching the silly antics of our feathered friends. I have been lucky enough to catch some of it on film.
With all the practice I have been getting, my camera and I are becoming good friends. A friendship I truly love.
Lucky Friday the 13th and Happy Valentines day!
Yesterday Friday the 13th was my lucky day. For more than 4 years now I have been chasing this little fellow all over my yard in hopes of just one little picture. I got more than one ( said with a big smile on my face.)
I was so happy to get these pictures, I was walking on cloud nine!

New 2!
Yesterday was cold, windy, and full of sunshine. I took a photograph of buds budding on my lilac bush to represent New. Today it is snowing and slightly over cast. I just had to walk out back and get a picture of the buds in snow.
I proudly present New 2, the first snow of the season sitting lightly on what I consider a symbol of New.

Weekly Photo Challenge : New!
It is January 5th in the North east and today is the first real cold day of the season. Yesterday it was 60 degrees and the past week has been in the high 50s. My Lilac bush in the back field is a little confused and is popping buds all over.

A favorite photo for me. In 1919 this barn was purchased from Sears and Roebuck as a kit and erected here in Pemberton where it still stands strong.
Day 19 Double Photo101
Well today I took yesterdays assignment,and yesterday I took today’s assignment. At last I am all caught up and ready for our final assignment(s) in this class. I am going to miss the daily challenges and the great feed back I got.
Today’s assignment Double could have caused me a little trouble, because I am the cook today and wasn’t to sure how or what I would do. I uploaded all the photos I took this morning and yesterday and there it was the perfect picture for today and it is double.
I played in Pic Monkey rotating my photo. I was giggling a lot at all the different looks. I have 2 favorites.
